Ka Huna Bodywork

Melanie studied with Mette Sørensen's Institute of Bodywork and Personal Development, completing Level V in early 1998.  She also completed Mette's Heartworks Lomi Lomi in 1999.

Reiki

She studied with The International Center for Reiki Training and completed Level II in mid  1998

Remedial massage, Aromatherapy, Pregnancy Massage, Reflexology, Manicures and Pedicures

Melanie also studied with Nature Care College.  She completed her Diploma of Remedial Massage in 1997, followed by a Diploma of Aromatherapy in 1998.  A a basic Certificate in Reflexology was added in late 1998.  She attended the Pregnancy Massage course in early 1999 which built on some Pregnancy Massage that was covered in the earlier Ka Huna Massage certificate and Aromatherapy diploma.  She also has completed some of the Beauty Therapy courses through Nature Care and can now also offer natural manicures and pedicures with body treatments.

Day Spa Treatments

Melanie studied with The International Dermal Institute at the Sydney branch, finishing an Advanced Certificate in Spa Therapy in mid 1999.  She has continued training with IDI as new techniques have been introduced. She recently completed her Post Graduate Diploma with The International Dermal Institute.

Ayurvedic Marmassage, Shirodhara and Ayurvedic Facial Rejuvenation

She studied with Melanie Sachs, author of Ayurvedic Beauty Care, in 1998. The course covered Ayurvedic massage, marma point massage which is included in the Facial Rejuvenation routine, and the ancient practice of shirodhara. Melanie Sachs runs Diamond Way Ayurveda.

LaStone Therapy

She studied with LaStone Therapy, Inc in late 2000, when she completed the Original Body course.  This technique is fairly new to Australia, it is usually offered in destination spa resorts.  LaStone Therapy involves massage with hot and cold stones.

In 2005, Melanie completed a course with Sacred Stone, Australia, which brings the LaStone use of hot and cold stones together with Ayurvedic massage.

In 2007 Melanie completed the LaStone course Advanced Orginal Body

Reconnective Healing and The Reconnection

Melanie studied with Dr. Eric Pearl in mid 2002.

Melanie has over 10 years experience in training in the computer industry and bodywork. She has run training in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and the United States.
